What is Junk Silver?
Junk Silver is a term used for any Silver coin in cull or fair condition with no numismatic value besides the bullion value of the Silver it contains. The word “junk” refers only to the coins’ value as collectibles and not to the actual condition of the coins; Junk Silver is not synonymous with scrap Silver. Pre-1965 90% Silver coins were pulled from circulation with the introduction of Copper and Nickel clad coins and Silver’s rising demand.
The public saved them for their 90% Silver content as a rainy day fund they could fall back on. Their value is based on the current Silver spot price.

Black Friday sale. Saw 72 reviews with an average near five stars, and several commenters found some nice coins in their bags. No such luck. Just a run of the dates, condition, etc. Good for stackers, not so much for collecting.

I ordered the "mixed" bag advertised a possibly both dimes and quarters. I received a bag of all quarters, which I cannot complain about since that's exactly what I was hoping for. It came with 14 worn (dateless) Standing Liberty quarters and lots of newer 1964's. It's basically what I'd expect from a mix of quarters. I also examined them all closely and found a 1942-D double die obverse in about VG condition. I'm happy with the purchase.

I have twice purchased the $100 face value bags. Both times I received quarters and they were all 90% silver and an exact count of face value. 400 quarters = $100 "dollars".I will buy again as many times as I can.

Received my $100 f/v bag of 90% silver and I got quarters. I am soooo glad I got them when I did (right before the silver spot price jumped as well as the cost over spot, yikes). Get any silver while you can! If you can only purchased $100 worth each month, DO IT! Do it NOW! I tried convincing friends to put some money aside and invest in silver (and smaller fractional gold) but they are so mentally deaf. Love you APMEX!!! I'll always be a buyer.

$100FV bag. I had asked for quarters and dimes it was, no biggie. The breakdown was 997 Roosevelt and 3 mercury. Was surprised that all were in great shape and no slicks. Happy about my purchase.

Received my order promptly. They were quarters. Some in UNC to MS+ Condition which was very surprising. Majority were 64 or other common date Washingtons. Did get a handful of Walking Liberties and one Barber. Will definitely order again!

Very pleased with this order. Received Quarters which all were in expected circulated conditions, with a lot of mint marks and a lot in the 50's. Had about 10-15 in AU or higher condition which was a surprise. Would order again.

Ask for dimes, but got quarters instead. glad i did now. alot of them looked almost uncirculated!!! just a a few worn out ones, but overall alot better than i expected :)
